We are looking for 2 specialists in geotechnics/project support for a public entity responsible for traffic and urban environment.

The assignment is a consulting position based in Stockholm.

The scope is estimated to be 30–50% of a full-time position during the first three months and then 25–35% of a full-time position.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

We are looking for two consultants (Competence levels three and five) with geotechnical expertise for project support in urban and traffic environments. The assignment includes technical support, advice, and project management in geotechnical issues, as well as support in both design and implementation. The offered consultants should have different levels of experience and expertise to complement each other in the assignment.

Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to the functional mailbox

Handle exemption applications for heavy vehicles

Review geotechnical documents, calculations, and dimensioning of geostructures

Provide client support in early stages

Develop the geotechnical section in the technical handbook

Assess the need for climate adaptation measures

Support construction management and project management during design and implementation

Provide technical advice at all stages of the project

Project manage geotechnical investigations

Requirements (Note, mandatory)

Consultant with competence level 3 must meet the following:

Master's degree in civil engineering (road and water / urban planning) or equivalent

Must have experience with the geology and geotechnical challenges of the Stockholm area, must be well-versed in Stockholm City's planning process

Good experience in project management

Ability to collaborate with other project managers from different technical areas

Knowledge of applicable legislation, national guidelines, as well as the city's guidelines and governing documents

Good communication skills

A proactive, supportive, solution-oriented, and responsible approach.

Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Consultant with competence level 5 must meet the following:

Good experience in project management

Ability to collaborate with other project managers from different technical areas

Meritorious 

Consultant with competence level 3 is preferred to meet the following merit/merits:

Experience working in a public procurement organization.

Consultant with competence level 5 is preferred to meet the following merit/merits:

Licentiate or Doctorate is meritorious

Experience working in a public procurement organization
